Molybdenum Carbide (Mo2C) Powders
Molybdenum carbide is a refractory compound which has the appearance of dark gray metal powder, with the molecular weight of 203.88 g/mol, theoretical content of combined-carbon of 5.89%, density of 9.18 g/cm3, melting point of 2690 °C. It has a very high melting point and hardness, good thermal and mechanical stability, excellent corrosion resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, which is widely used in fields requiring high-temperature resistance, abrasion resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Besides, its electronic structure and catalytic property is similar to noble metal, and it can be used in chemical reactions such as alkane isomerization with hydrogen involved, unsaturated hydrocarbon hydrogenation, hydrodesulfurization and denitrification.
